Koh Ker Temple

Koh ker is an ancient temple complex located about 120km northeast of Siem Reap, in Preah Vihear Province, Cambodia. It was once the capital of the Khmer empire for a short time.

The temple was built in century (928-944 AD), the capital of the Khmer Empire under King Jayavarman IV, it shows a different period of Khmer power and art.

The most famous structure is Prasat Thom, a 7-tier pyramid temple that looks like a Mayan pyramid. About 36 meters high and steep stairs to the top.

Koh Ker is perfect if you want to explore something different and more adventurous beyond the Angkor temples.
