Angkor thom means Great City, it was the last and most powerful capital of the Angkor Empire. It was built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII.
Angkor thom is located inside the Angkor Archaeological Park in siem reap, Cambodia. The city is surrounded by a large wall (about 8meters high) and a wide moat. It has five main gates, and each gate is decorated with giant stone face.
